MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3-5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR ROLE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS!

  1. We are working with a client on the Upper East Side of New York City who is seeking a full-time Housekeeper/Nanny to join their household. The family has two daughters, ages 5 and 3, and currently employs a full-time nanny who will be transitioning to part-time afternoons. They are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working in a home with children and can collaborate well with other staff. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with ideal hours of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, although 2–3 days per week may end at 4:00 PM. The family guarantees 40 hours per week, even during lighter periods. Responsibilities include morning assistance with the children, occasionally helping mom with school drop-off for the younger child (dad handles drop-off for the older child), and detailed housekeeping such as cleaning and organizing, laundry and ironing, closet organization, dusting, and general upkeep. The role also includes light meal prep 1–2 times per week, focusing on simple, healthy meals that are easy to reheat, as well as assisting with packing and unpacking when the family travels (no travel is required for the housekeeper). Household details include a grandmother living in the home, so the candidate must work well with extended family. There are no pets, no travel requirements, and the apartment will be fully renovated over the summer, during which responsibilities will be lighter (mainly checking in on the property), though the 40-hour guarantee remains in place and the full schedule will resume in September. Compensation is $35–$40 per hour on payroll, with a MetroCard provided and two weeks of paid time off, though no health benefits are offered at this time. Candidates must be currently living and working in New York City, as no relocation applicants will be considered. Strong private home housekeeping experience, enjoyment of working in a household with children, long-term experience in past roles, verifiable references, and a detail-oriented, active, positive, team-oriented approach are required. To apply, please send your résumé to amanda@tailoredplacements.com.

  2. We are seeking a full-time, detail-oriented, and collaborative housekeeper to join an exceptional NYC team. As a vital member of the staff, you will play an important role in maintaining multiple Manhattan properties located within walking distance. The household values a clean, sanitary, fun, and welcoming environment for the principal, colleagues, and guests, and the ideal candidate takes pride in their work, brings a positive attitude, and actively contributes to a supportive, team-oriented culture. Duties include working closely with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and to the highest standards, performing a full range of cleaning and sanitation responsibilities such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and bathrooms, and managing household supply inventory by restocking groceries, toiletries, and cleaning products while assisting with errands as needed. The role also involves wardrobe management, including maintaining closets, drawers, and storage spaces, updating inventory, and assisting the principal with packing and unpacking for travel. Additional responsibilities include overseeing all laundry needs such as handwashing, steaming, ironing, minor repairs, and coordinating dry cleaning, as well as identifying and reporting maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly. The housekeeper must maintain a professional and positive demeanor when interacting with guests or residents, responding to reasonable requests with patience and helpfulness. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of verifiable private home experience in a similar role, strong written and verbal communication skills, and some comfort with technology, including basic computer functions and database entry systems (training will be provided). The ideal individual is a reliable team player with excellent attention to detail, strong time management and organizational skills, adaptability to changing priorities, physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds and moving throughout the day, and the discretion to handle confidential information professionally. The work schedule is Monday through Friday with a rotational weekend schedule, which may require working up to two Saturdays per month, and flexibility to work additional hours as needed. 3. We are working with a lovely family in Greenwich, Connecticut who is seeking a full-time, live-out, career nanny to care for their two toddler-aged children. The family is looking for a warm, professional nanny who is local, reliable, and interested in making a long-term commitment of three or more years. The schedule is Monday through Friday, totaling approximately 40–50 hours per week, with flexibility required for occasional late evenings or date nights, as well as overnight care up to 4–5 nights when the parents travel for work. Mom is home and very hands-on, so the ideal nanny will collaborate well with a present parent and work as part of a team. Responsibilities include providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for toddlers, supporting manners, structure, and respectful behavior, and creating engaging, imaginative, and educational activities. This is a screen-free household, and personal cell phone use during working hours should be limited to emergencies or pre-approved situations. The nanny should be kind, loving, and nurturing, while also confident and firm when appropriate, and able to handle all childcare-related duties. Driving is required, and a car will be provided, so the candidate must be comfortable transporting the children as needed. A U.S. passport is required, as the family travels one to two times per year and may include international travel. The family also has a summer home in the Hamptons, where the schedule shifts to a four-day workweek (Monday through Thursday), and live-in support is required during the summer months. Compensation is $35–$40 per hour on payroll, with federal holidays, paid time and a half when applicable, personal and sick days, and health insurance assistance provided. The ideal candidate is local to Greenwich or within commuting distance, is an experienced professional career nanny, communicates well, respects and follows parents’ wishes, and is seeking a long-term role. 4. We are working with a client in Brooklyn who is seeking an afternoon aftercare nanny to join their household. The ideal schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with weekday hours from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM and Saturday hours from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM with some flexibility. The family guarantees 20–25 hours per week and is also open to a Monday through Friday afternoon-only nanny for candidates who cannot commit to Saturdays. The household has a full-time nanny who has been with them for several years and is looking for a second set of hands. There are three children under the age of eight, and the role will overlap with the full-time nanny for at least one to two hours each day, meaning you will not be alone with all three children at once. On Saturdays, both parents are typically home. Responsibilities include engaging in active play, assisting with homework, handling school and activity drop-offs and pick-ups, and supporting all childcare needs alongside the full-time nanny. Both parents work full-time outside the home, so reliability and punctuality are essential, along with some flexibility to stay later when needed. The family is open to nannies with varying levels of experience, including graduate students or candidates who already have a morning position. Compensation is $35 per hour, with some paid time off even though this is a part-time role. Candidates must already be local to the Brooklyn/NYC area, as no relocation applicants will be considered.
